There are many posts that a candidates can apply for. After General Duty, Clerk and Store Keeping Technical is famous fro all the posts. All the eligibility criteria is given in this article
Just like other posts in Army, clerk, SKT has also has some eligibility criteria, without which one cannot be recruited for this post. Following are the eligibility criteria for these posts:
Age Limit Required for Indian Army
Candidates should be minimum of 17 years of or 18 years of age and maximum 23 years of age. As Army rules are very strict, so if the candidates do not fit according to the age, then he will not be selected for the posts.
Educational Criteria for Indian Army
The candidates should have passed the examination of class 12th and 10th passed from the recognised board.Also he should an aggregate of 50% or 40% of marks on each subject of class 12th and 10th exam. If the candidates have done graduation from the subject English and Maths/ accounts/ book keeping, then he must fulfil the 50% or 40% criteria once i.e. in class 12th and 10th.

(b)Sol Tech (Aviation & Ammunition Examiner) 10 +2 / Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject.OR Three years Diploma in Engg (Mechanical /Electrical/ Automobiles/ Computer Science Mechanical Engg and Electronic & Instrumentation Engg) from a recognized Polytechnic Institute( No Education relaxation for this category is existing presently).

|(3)||Soldier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms)||10+2 / Intermediate Examination Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science). Should have secured 40% marks in each subject and 50% in aggregate in Class XII. Should have studied English and Maths / Accounts / Book Keeping in Class XII or Class X. Should have secured min 40% marks in each of these subject, whether in Class XII or Class X. If a candidate is a graduate (any field) with Maths / Account / Book Keeping and English (even elective) as one of the subjects, the stipulation of scoring 40% marks in Maths / English in Class XII or Class X and scoring 50% marks in aggregate in Class XII is waived off. If a candidate is a graduate but not having English and Maths / Accounts /Book Keeping at graduate level, he should have scored minimum 40% marks in English and Maths / Accounts / Book Keeping at least once in Class XII or Class X.||17 ½ – 23 Yrs|
|(4)||Soldier Nursing Assistant (Army Medical Corps)||10+2 / Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject. OR In case the candidate has a BSc Degree with (Botany / Zoology / Bio-Science) and English, the stipulation of percentage in Class-XII is waived off. However, the candidate should have studied all the four specified subjects in Class XII also.||17 ½ – 23 Yrs|
|(5)||Soldier Tradesmen (All Arms)||10th Simple Pass/ ITI (except Syce, Mess Keeper and House Keeper-who may be 8th Simple Pass).||17 ½ – 23 Yrs|
|(6)||Survey Automated Cartographer (Engineers)||BA/BSc with Maths. Must have also passed 12thclass(10+2) or equivalent with Maths and Science as main subjects.||20-25 Yrs|
|(7)||Junior Commissioned Officer Religious Teacher (All Arms)||Graduate in any discipline. In addition requisite qualification in his own religious denomination.||27-34 Yrs|
|(8)||Junior Commissioned Officer Catering (Army Service Corps)||10+2 or equivalent exam and Diploma / Certificate Course of a duration of one year or more in Cookery Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a recognized University / Food Craft Institute. AICTE recognition is not mandatory.||21-27 Yrs|
|(9)||Havildar Education (Army Education Corps)||Group X – MA / MSc / MCA or BA / BSc / BCA / BSc (IT) with B Ed Group Y – BSc/BA/BCA/B Sc (IT) (w/o B Ed.)|

Medical Eligibility Required In Clerk
- The applicant must be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with the eye.
- His colour vision should be CP-III.
- He should be good in Physical and Mental Health.
- He should have minimum 14 dental points i.e. naturally healthy gum and teeth.
- His chest should be well developed.
Some Important Things For Recruitment In Army
Candidates must register themselves online if they want to participate in next rally/recruitment/bharti. Candidates should make sure that they fill all the information correctly and according to your documents, because if you make any mistake while filling up the application form then it will be very difficult for you to correct it afterwards.
No candidate with fake document can participate in the bharti . Army also make sure that there should be proper documents with the candidate, otherwise person with fake documents will not be able to participate in bharti.So make sure that candidate should carry their original documents.
After the registration and verification of the documents, physical test will be taken , which are as follows:
- Measurement of chest.
- Pull ups
- Balancing and 9- feet Ditch.
Once the candidate go through all the physical test next come the medical test. In this test the candidates are checked on any medical issues. A candidate has to pass various medical test as processed during his medical check up.
After the medical test candidates get plenty of time to prepare for written exam, unlikely the pattern for soldier clerk is bit different. Candidate must score more than 32 marks in each part to pass, as the question is divided into two parts, and the aggregate of both the parts should be 80 or more than 80 marks.
Making of the Merit List
After clearing all tests and going long process comes the merit list. For posts like GD, merit list is made after combining marks of PFT, medical test, CEE.
Dispatch For Training
As you are selected for Army clerk you have to undergo the training of 9 months. In training the candidates will be checked in consideration of physical and mental test. Candidate will not be considered as army personnel until he does not complete 9 months of training.
